The speakers and international delegates to the conference were feted at an Official Dinner. The event was organised by the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism through the Department of Fisheries, in collaboration with the Institute for Biodiversity and Environmental Research, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, the Maritime And Ports Authority Brunei Darussalam and Poni Group Sendirian Berhad.

Present was Dayang Hajah Tutiaty binti Haji Abdul Wahab, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism. The three-day conference is hoped to encompass strengthening regional and international cooperation, increasing the sharing of marine knowledge and technology, and empowering innovation and sustainable practices in the fisheries, aquaculture and blue economy sectors.
